Leonardo Melloni

Chief Executive Officer

Over twenty years of international experience in power generation and energy conversion, EPC project development and decarbonization strategies across Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

Leonardo Melloni has more than two decades of experience in power generation and energy conversion across EMEA, LATAM and APAC, serving both investors/utilities and EPC/implementation companies.

Before relocating from Munich in 2026, he worked at E.ON SE and E.ON Infrastructure Solutions, where he headed the development of several medium- to large-scale generation projects for energy-intensive industries as well as for low-carbon ammonia and hydrogen, and led a number of decarbonisation initiatives across Europe.

Prior to that, until 2016, he held the position of Head of the Energy Business Unit at Tractebel Engineering Italy (Engie Group), delivering EPC(M) and engineering projects worldwide. Until 2012, he was Project Manager on brownfield projects in LATAM and Europe.

He began his career in 2005 at Tecnimont S.p.A. as a Process and Performance Engineer.

Leonardo holds an MBA from LUISS Business School in Rome, an M.Sc. in Gas Turbine Technology from Cranfield University (UK), and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome.

He also lectures at the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome.

Silvia Garino

Chief Operating Officer

Over twenty years of experience in the management and delivery of complex EPC projects across the energy, nuclear, oil & gas and advanced manufacturing sectors in Europe and North America.

Silvia Garino has more than 20 years of experience in conventional, renewable & nuclear power generation, oil & gas and advanced manufacturing sectors; managing the development and execution of complex EPC projects in Europe and North America.

Since joining Demont, Silvia held positions of increasing responsibility, progressing from Project Manager to Head of the Industrial Division and subsequently to Chief Operating Officer (COO), overseeing the delivery of medium and large-scale EPC projects. Her project portfolio includes semiconductor industrial facilities, conventional (CCPP) and nuclear power plants.

Prior to joining Demont, she was Project Manager at Alstom Power, leading power generation and infrastructure EPC projects. She previously held the position of Technical and Commercial Manager at FBM Hudson and started her career at Hamon Research-Cottrell as a Process Engineer, developing solid expertise in environmental control systems and gas treatment.

Silvia holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Politecnico di Milan.

Raffaella Gai

Head of the Engineering Department

Over thirty years of experience in industrial and energy engineering, with expertise in multidisciplinary project management, process engineering, and the development of solutions for complex industrial plants.

Raffaella Maria Gai has over 30 years of experience in industrial and energy engineering, she has developed extensive expertise in multidisciplinary project management, process engineering, and the design and implementation of solutions for energy, oil & gas, desalination, district heating, and manufacturing facilities.

After being appointed Head of the Process Engineering Section at Demont S.r.l. in 2014, she was promoted to Head of the Engineering Department in 2019 and has additionally served as Technical Director since 2020.

Throughout her career, she has contributed to and coordinated numerous national and international projects for major clients, including Total, Sonatrach, TTEP Produzione, A2A, Iren, Saras-Sarlux, STMicroelectronics, Samsung, Holcim, Eni, Società Adriatica Idrocarburi, Infineum and Esso Italiana.

She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and is member of the Order of Engineers of the Province of Savona.

Her professional background combines strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and extensive knowledge of complex industrial processes.

Juan Decastelli

Chief Financial Officer

Extensive experience in financial management within the EPC sector, corporate transactions and trade finance, with particular expertise in company incorporation and the management of bonds and letters of credit.

Since 2013, Juan Decastelli has progressed as Chief Financial Officer in the EPC sector within Demont.

During this period, he empowered the financial team and managed numerous corporate transactions (BU spin-offs, M&A, etc), and oversaw the incorporation of several companies, including international entities, serving as a Director in select cases. He also developed significant expertise in trade finance, particularly in the management of Bonds and Letters of Credit.

Previously, he worked as Head of Finance Department at TPL Linea, where he led major merger projects, and subsequently as Financial Manager and Controller at Slow Food.

Juan holds a Master in Business Management (MBM) from the ISTUD Foundation and a degree in Business Economics from the University of Turin.

Massimiliano Lazzarino

Employer & HR Manager

Over thirty years of experience in mechanical engineering and site-based industrial construction, progressing from hands-on field roles to senior management, with strong expertise in people management, training and workplace safety.

Massimiliano Lazzarino is the current Employer and Board Member of Demont, while also serving as HR Manager.

He brings over 30 years of experience in the construction and mechanical engineering sector, gained across the company’s key business areas (Energy, Oil & Gas, Industrial, Naval), where he built his career starting from on-site operational roles and progressing, over time, to senior management positions.

Drawing on this background, he oversees, among other responsibilities, personnel selection, training, and development.

He joined Demont in 1999 as Site Manager, working on industrial and chemical construction sites for leading companies in the sector.

From 2001, he took on the role of “Head of Site Production and Site Personnel” at the group’s headquarters in Millesimo, further advancing his managerial career: in 2010 he was appointed Executive, in 2015 Employer, and subsequently Board Member of Demont.

Consistently focused on personnel and human resources management, with particular attention to workplace safety, he draws on the sensitivity and field experience he has gained to pursue his primary goal: fostering a strong culture of productivity grounded in safety, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment across all activities carried out by personnel.

Fabio Atzori

Chief Executive Officer Aurora X

Over thirty years of international experience in the construction and operational management of complex projects across the energy, oil & gas and shipbuilding sectors, combined with extensive experience in senior leadership roles within the Demont Group.

Fabio Atzori is a Board Member of Aurora X Holding.

He brings over 30 years of global experience in engineering construction and operations, managing complex projects across diverse sectors, including Power Generation, Oil & Gas, and Shipbuilding.

Following key roles at Ansaldo and Alstom, he joined the Demont Group in 2003, serving in various top management positions through July 2026.

Additionally, Mr. Atzori served as President of the Savona Industrial Association from 2009 to 2013.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
