Desalination
Technology and Know-how for Desalination Plants
Demont has been working for 50 years in the sector of thermal desalination plants with its own technology and know-how, using the quality of the prestigious and internationally renowned Reggiane and Sowit brands.
On domestic and foreign markets, Demont is one of the most qualified companies in the Design and Supply of last generation systems and of the complete range of Multiflash (MSF) and Multiple Effect technologies (MED and MED-TVC), with excellent technical features and a wide range of capacity and performance.
Demont’s technologically advanced plants are expressly designed to meet specific requirements and be integrated into industrial cogeneration systems.
The design focuses on a very high reliability during the entire life of the plant, on cost-effectivene management, easy operation and minimum maintenance need.
Demont designs and supplies plants with the following features:
- fully automatic operation;
- high reliability;
- long life;
- easy operation and maintenance;
- minimum need of maintenance and spare parts;
- reduced civil works (oudoor installation).
HOW WE WORK
Tailored Desalination Plants
Desalination related systems are usually requested as “tailor made” in terms of capacity, performance and number of units, as well as conforming to the specific technical specifications of the client.
In this sector standard models are not existing, only occasionally it may happen to supply similar items for different projects
Demont production covers a wide range of capacities up to considerable sizes and high level performance.
MULTI STAGE FLASH – MSF
CAPACITY (PER UNIT)
from 30 to 1900 mc/h
PERFORMANCE (GOR)
from 4 to 13 kg distillate/kg steam
MULTIPLE EFFECT DISTILLATION (MED)
CAPACITY (PER UNIT)
from 20 to 500 mc/h
PERFORMANCE (GOR)
from 4 to 10 kg distillate/kg steam
MULTIPLE EFFECT DISTILLATION (MED)
CAPACITY (PER UNIT)
from 20 to 900 mc/h
PERFORMANCE (GOR)
from 4 to 16 kg distillate/kg steam
REMARKS
The capacity ranges above are to be considered as a general reference and the threshold values are flexible; these values can change in relation to different factors, one of which is the number of units composing the plant.
The performance level (production/steam consumption) is extended to the whole field normally applied or required. Threshold values above are a general reference; both minimum and maximum are generally not determined by technical limits, but by reasons of economic convenience for the user.
