Battaglia Terme (PD), 22 July 2026 – Following the delivery of the first desalination unit manufactured for the customer in 2025, the first two evaporators of the new contract have now left the workshop. The contract includes the supply of a total of seven units.
The first evaporator left the HI-PE facility in Battaglia Terme (PD) on Monday, 20 July 2026, while the second one departed yesterday under exceptional transport conditions.
Both units will reach the port of Marghera, from where they will continue their journey by sea to Algeria.
The evaporators are the core components of MED–TVC type desalination plants, designed through the collaboration between Demont and HI-PE and manufactured at the latter’s specialized workshop.
This new dispatch confirms the confidence placed by Sonatrach in the expertise of the two Italian companies and marks a key milestone in the execution of the contract.
