As part of Total Energies‘ global net-zero strategy, the GALAXIE Project represents a fundamental step towards carbon neutrality. It involves the transformation of the Grandpuits refinery into a zero-crude platform, demonstrating Total Energies’ commitment to sustainable energy transition.
The key element of the GALAXIE project is the BIOJET, which aims to produce 210 ktas of Biojet and 51 ktas of Biodiesel. This will be possible thanks to a new unit for the pre-treatment of organic oils and to the modernisation of the existing hydro-processing and hydro-cracking facilities at the Grandpuits Platform.
The Demont Group will play a major role in this project, having been awarded the piping, prefabrication and mechanical erection activities.
