On June 15 and 16, Demont hosted nine third-year students from the “San Giuseppe Calasanzio” Scientific High School in Carcare for a training program dedicated to technical drawing and the use of CAD software.
The two days were designed to give these young women and men their first hands-on experience with the tools and skills typical of the engineering and design world.
This initiative is part of the activities the company carries out under the UNI/PdR 125 standard, aimed at encouraging new generations to pursue technical and scientific disciplines and promoting equal opportunities in accessing STEM pathways.
The students also had the opportunity to speak with a young Demont professional, who shared his academic and career journey with them. He explained what motivated him to earn a degree in Nuclear Engineering and subsequently choose Demont as the first step in his career. This open dialogue gave the students a closer look at life inside Demont—a direct interaction that helped build a concrete bridge between the world of education and the local industry.
The two days proved to be a valuable opportunity for mutual exchange and growth, both for the students who got to work directly with CAD software and for the company professionals who shared their expertise and the value of their daily work. It is a small step forward that confirms Demont’s commitment to engaging with the local community and promoting an inclusive environment where opportunities are open to everyone.
