The prefabrication activities of a Ø 3.7m, 9.3 m height steel tank with a fixed roof and capacity of approximately 100 m³ have been successfully completed at our Millesimo workshop
The carbon steel tank was built entirely within our workshop in a controlled and safe environment operating with greater precision and closer control of manufacturing details.
To ensure safety and ease of access, a spiral staircase with walkways was pre-assembled inside the tank. These elements will enable personnel to easily reach all parts of the tank for inspections and maintenance. These elements will enable personnel to easily reach all parts of the tank for inspections and maintenance. A coil system was installed on both the shell and the roof of the tank.
Workshop pre-assembly will lead to quicker and more precise on- site installation.
Following the initial assembly, a rigorous hydraulic test was performed to verify the tank’s tightness and structural integrity. Once the hydraulic test was passed, priming and final insulation were carried out.
Overall, the objective of these activities carried out in the workshop was to deliver a fully functional tank, minimizing the assembly activities to be carried out on site, reducing installation times and costs while operating in greater safety; as well as ensuring the quality and durability of the tank.
