Hands-On Training for Students at the Patetta Institute in Cairo: an Immersive Experience in Demont’s Workshop

Demont has recently completed an important collaboration initiative with the Federico Patetta Institute in Cairo Montenotte (SV), offering a unique training experience to the students of the Professional Education Maintenance and Technical Assistance (MTA) course. A group of 18 male and female students from classes 5M and 5L had the opportunity to take part in a practical welding course carried out directly in the company’s workshop under the supervision of teachers.

The experience, which ran from January to March 2025, lasted a total of 30 hours. Before entering the workshop, the students received in-depth theoretical training with a special focus on health and safety. Thanks to this training, the participants were able to experience some welding techniques at first hand, using electrodes to weld metal parts and learning the correct way to prepare materials and equipment.

The activity was carried out in complete safety, thanks to the supervision of our qualified staff and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by the students. Each stage of the training aimed to give the young people a practical insight into the industry, familiarising them with the techniques and tools used on a daily basis in the company and facilitating their entry into the world of work.
